FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions

How much does window cleaning cost?

Window cleaning prices in Emsworth typically range from £30 - £60 depending on the number and style of windows. This pricing is for cleaning your windows every 8 weeks. You can get a more accurate idea on the "Pricing" page or contact me for a personal quote.

How does it work?

Your windows will be cleaned every 8 weeks. I send you a message the day before I come so you can leave the side gate unlocked if needed. I then send you another message after I have cleaned your windows with the bill and the payment information.

I'm selling my home, can you clean it before I put it on the market?

Yes, I am happy to clean the exterior of your property to increase its saleability and can often fit in a clean at short notice.

Do you clean gutters?

Yes. I clear out any blockages to get the water draining away effectively and to stop any spills and leaks. I clean gutters by hand or use a gutter-vac for hard-to-access gutters. I also clean the outside of gutters and fascias to get them sparkling clean for you. If you want more information about gutter cleaning, please see my gutter cleaning page.

Does it cost more for a one-off clean?

Yes, there is normally an extra charge for a one-off clean due to the extra time it takes to bring the windows up to a good standard. If you are nearby and the windows and frames are not particularly dirty, I may waive the extra charge.

Is there an extra charge for the first clean?

I do charge more for the first clean due to the extra work needed to bring the windows up to a good standard. This is normally £10-15

Do you clean commercial properties?

Yes

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, you can pay by credit card using my direct PayPal link.

How often should I get my windows cleaned?

Some domestic customers prefer to have their windows cleaned more frequently (e.g. monthly) for aesthetic reasons or so they can enjoy a crystal-clear view. Others may be comfortable with less frequent cleaning to save money (e.g. quarterly).

I have found a happy medium for my domestic customers is to clean the windows every 8 weeks. An 8-week cycle saves money for the customer compared to weekly or monthly cleaning, ensures the customer not paying for them to be cleaned when they don't need to be and prevents a build-up of dirt. Keep in mind that regular cleaning not only enhances the appearance of your windows but also helps prolong their lifespan by preventing damage from corrosive elements.

Businesses with shopfronts often prefer to have them cleaned weekly or even daily to present their best image to customers.

Do you use a pole to clean the windows?

To reach higher windows I either use a carbon fibre pole or climb up a ladder and clean the windows the traditional way. Sometimes I use a combination of both - it depends on what will be best for your house and safest for you and me. Either way, you can count on a sparkling finish every time.

How do I pay for window cleaning?

I accept the following payment methods:

The vast majority of my customers pay by bank transfer. Please remember to put your name or address as the reference so I can tell you have paid!
